Ok, I know I said I was going to give you a nice full review of a new teledildonics product.  However, I’m still waiting on a copy of their PCT application, so I can give it my IP-related slant.  In the interim, check out this review on it.

While down in LA, I popped into Babeland and The Pleasure Chest to browse around and see what products were on sale that were marked with patent numbers.  I’ll be uploading a gob of pics, links and other great stuff in the upcoming week.

Until then, enjoy three newly-issued patents. Including one great love doll patent.

Process for Making a Massage Device Departing From an Electric Toothbrush

Posted by patentpervert under Vibrators, Dildos, Sleeves, etc., Male, Female No Comments

7186226.jpgU.S. Patent No. 7,186,226 is a patent for a method of making a “massage device” from your electric toothbrush.  Come on, you know you’re not the first to think about your toothbrush in this way.  However, Graham began his quest back in 2003.  This recently issued patent claims a process of removing the bristles from the head of the brush. Further the patent claims a process for making low cost heads for use with the device.

The patent states that an object of the invention is to “provide a process for making a sexual massage device that is small and discrete; the appearance of most sex toys is usually very indicative of their purpose which can be embarassing for owners and users.”

The claims include a process comprising trimming or removing the bristles fo the head and applying a resin. The resin is used to shape the head of the toothbrush.

Great job Graham, we need more ideas for alternative uses of everyday devices.

7037256_1_.jpgU.S. Patent No. 7,186,213 is a continuation of U.S. Patent No. 7,037,256.  Whereas the parent patent was aimed at treatment of Peyronie’s disease, this patent is aimed at a kit and method for treatment for erectile dysfunction.  Same great stuff. The world can never have enough pumps!

Full Size Fully Articulated Doll With Selectively Displayed Alterative Faces

Posted by patentpervert under Other Patents, Male, Female 1 Comment

7186212.jpgU.S. Patent No. 7,186,212 is a patent for the most advanced love doll I’ve ever see.  Probably a patent for the Face X System by the makers of the Realdoll, this patent claims a fully articulated female doll with interchangeable faces or heads.  The body is made of flexible material (such as silicone) with a rigid head and moveable jaw.  The patent allows for an audio device to be added to provide for “aural verisimilitude”. (I think that means moaning.)

The ability to change faces allows the user to change the genotype of the rall rather easily, avoiding the need for multiple dolls of varying genetics.  The disclosure states that “A large busom (93), as seen in Figure 1, is generally considered more attractive int he famale human form regardless of genotype but in the shape of the breasts comprising the same is generally crecognized as being of greater aesthetic value than mere size.  And the shape of the breasts is generally correlated, regardless of genotyp, to the feel of the same.  This, along with other physical attributes such as the buttocks and thighs, vulva (36) and lips (59) generally correspond to age and physical condition with firmness associated with youth and good physical condition and flaccidity with age or obesity. It is noted that sexual drive in humans has a purpose, biologically, and that aesthetics are derived from evolutionary factors. Men who are attracted to excessively aged, young, or physically infirm women will not achieve reproduction and hence the attributes of a physically capable woman of an age still to bear many children are seen tob e biologically programmed, as it were, in the male.”

“A large and relatively firm bosom (93) is indicative of robust mammary glands necessary, prior to the modern age, to feed a large succession of infants. With regard to the present invention it is emphasized that the shape and feel of the body (11) is preferably consistent with what is generally considered attractive to men because the obtainment of sexual release with a doll (10) in preferred accordance with the principles relating to said nivention is fundamental to said invention. And, with more particular regard with preferred embodiment, it is noted that biologically men are programmed to achieve impregnation of as many different women as possible.  Exogamy, in brief, is a biological virtue; it is the opposite of inbreeding. Therefore, in order to obtain success in providing sexual release for a human male variety of appearance especially by variation of the appearance of genotype, is recognized as being of great significance.”

Further, “It is sufficient to note that the rear of the doll (10) possesses visual and palpable versimilitude with an attractive human female form. The simulated skin (16) and simulated flesh (15) is the same as that used on the front of the doll (10) and the only noteworthy if not obvious feature is considered to comprise the buttocks which are simplyl constructed with an ample amount of simulated flesh (15) to attain the desired versimilitude in shape and feel.”

“It is also note that these two components or features, i.e., the buttocks and most particularly the bosom (93), are preferably softer than the balance of the obdy (12) except, of course for the vulva (36) and mouth (30), both of which, in accordance with the versimilitude required in feel, particularly, are preferably made of relatively soft, pliant, flexible material inclusive of silicone rubber.  The intended function of the doll (10), moreover, suggests that the vulva (36) and the mouth (30), as seen in FIGS. 2 & 5, and anus (not shown) have at internal termination, a fluid receptacle (26) that is easily cleaned, preferably removable from the doll (10), and preferably made of a smooth membrane (25) overlapping, or contiguous if not continuous with, the smooth membrane (25) most preferably lining these anatomical cavities.”

The rest of the patent is also an interesting read, peppered throughout with discussions of male sexual nature and how features of the doll are well paired with those genetic predispositions.

The patent further dislcoses use of a motor to control jaw and eye movement.  Meaning that this doll may very well be the most realistic love doll on this planet.

A final note, this is a very detailed patent, claiming priority back to the provisional in May, 2003, which seems to correllate with the press release of this new RealDoll product.

Matthew, I’d love to get a tour of your manufacturing plant and see these in person.  E-mail me.

Base for Sexual Stimulation Device

Posted by patentpervert under Vibrators, Dildos, Sleeves, etc., Male, Female No Comments

D536797.jpgU.S. Patent No. D536,797 is a design patent for a base of a vibrator or dildo.  From the figures, it appears that the base includes indicators for either the strength/speed of vibrations, or the remaining battery charge.  However, the face of the patent includes a cited reference for a company that designes chips which allow messages to be stored in various devices.  Therefore, this patent may be for a base encompassing a chip allowing it to store audio.

Hmmm…I can see it now, while pleasuring herself, housewife dictates her shopping list to her new vibrator!  No, seriously, this appears to be the same exact design found in this new device.

Mechanical Massage Device

Posted by patentpervert under Vibrators, Dildos, Sleeves, etc., Female No Comments

7175592.jpgU.S. Patent No. 7,175,592 is a patent for a “massage device” with a “massage piece” (aka “imitated penis”).  This device allows the user to adjust the angle of the “massage piece”, allows the “massage piece” to be programmed to move in selected directions, selected speeds, and with a selected travel distance.  The patent also allows for a rotation function in the “massage piece”, to put the user “into an orgasmic situation.”

This patent improves upon such devices as the Sybian, in that it allows the user to control all aspects of movement of the “massage piece.”  Good to see more of these type of products being patented.  I can’t wait until we can see a video of one of these in action!

Penile Prosthesis Implant Insertion Tool

Posted by patentpervert under Male, Erectile Dysfunction No Comments

7172602.jpgU.S. Patent No. 7,172,602 is a patent for a device for inserting a penile implant.  It seems as if we’ve had a lot of prosthesis patents (and other ED-related patents) lately.  Whereas specialized tools exist for implanting prostheses, this patent is for the first tool designed to aid in implantation of the proximal cylinder end of the penile prosthesis.  Furthermore, this patent includes claims that allow it to be made of material other than stainless steel, thus providing for a disposable device, and likewise a cheaper method of manufacture.

Slow Month, Vacation and Other Updates

Posted by patentpervert under General 1 Comment

Yes, I know I’ve been a little slow on the posts lately, but it’s because nothing interesting has been issued lately. Honest!  (Ok, you got me, I was on vacation last week).  Well, today, I’ll be posting 4 newly issued patents.  Hopefully that’ll whet your perverted little whistle.

Also, I hope in the next few weeks, to add issued patents from 2005 to the site.

But (best of all) in about 2 weeks, I hope to post a review of a new teledildonics device, complete with pictures!

So stay tuned!

D536097.jpgU.S. Patent No. D536,097 is a design patent for a vibrator.  Interestingly, it appears to be tethered to a remote control of some sort.  The inventor, Simon Siu Man Nan, has 29 vibrator/massager design patents, and one patent for a strap-on harness.  Keep ‘em coming Nan!
